Consulting staff have a wealth of experience in the prediction, measurement and assessment of a wide range of environmental noise and vibration issues. The practice uses CADNA A (Computer Aided Noise Abatement) software which enables accurate prediction of environmental noise for the majority of situations likely to be encountered, ranging from a single item of mechanical services equipment to the mapping of entire urban areas.
Predictions are usually supplemented by short term attended noise surveys or by long term monitoring using instrumentation with 3G/GPRS modem and GPS location receivers that allow measurement data to be downloaded remotely.
Some of the Services we are able to provide are listed below:
• Noise and vibration surveys in support of planning assessments for new residential schemes; • Assessment of noise from new/improved road schemes under Noise Insulation Regulations; • Noise and vibration surveys for retail and commercial servicing operations; • Noise surveys for building envelope sound insulation design; • Measurement and assessment of ground borne vibration and noise; • Environmental impact assessment (EIA); • Environmental Permitting Regulations (see also Industrial Acoustics page); • Expert testimony at planning hearings and public inquiries; • Licensing applications for entertainment venues.
